Our focus of donations this year is Best Buddies International. Best Buddies has three “Program Pillars” for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). They are One-to-One Friendships, Integrated Employment and Leadership Development. The focus of “One-to-One Friendships” is to build friendships between people with and without IDD, offering social mentoring while improving the quality of life and level of inclusion. Integrated Employment secures jobs for people with IDD, allowing them to earn an income, pay taxes, and support themselves. Finally, “Leadership Development” educates and empowers people with and without IDD to be leaders, public speakers and advocates. As it is every year, our goal is to increase our total donations in order to truly make a difference in children’s lives. Together and with your support, I believe we can achieve this goal!
